About Green Workforce

The Green Workforce is a post-high school workforce development program, centered on young people moving into adulthood. This program employs both full-time and seasonal participants, supporting them to develop and utilize a wide variety of skills in urban greening, carpentry, green infrastructure, stormwater management, sustainable landscape design and installation, and entrepreneurship. Across wide variety of projects and partnerships, the Green Workforce is an implementation partner that allow us to create and leave behind assets that enhance Richmond’s impacted communities.

An integral part of Richmond’s Urban and Community forestry ecosystem, these young people plant and maintain over 300 trees every year.

Camp Spokes: Middle School Session

Monday, June 23, 2025

7:30 am - 4:30 pm

Camp Spokes Middle School Session starts Monday, June 23rd and runs though the end of the week, ending with a bike adventure through Shenandoah State Park on Friday! Groundwork RVA and Rag & Bones are excited for another summer of bike skill building, outdoor adventures, crafting, and building friendships!

We’re looking for women and gender-variant folks to volunteer and help us run this transformative camp experience!
