About Green Workforce
The Community Resilience Crew (formally Green Workforce) is a post-high school workforce development program, centered on young people moving into adulthood. This program employs both full-time and seasonal participants, supporting them to develop and utilize a wide variety of skills in urban greening, carpentry, green infrastructure, stormwater management, sustainable landscape design and installation, and entrepreneurship. Across wide variety of projects and partnerships, the Green Workforce is an implementation partner that allow us to create and leave behind assets that enhance Richmond’s impacted communities.
An integral part of Richmond’s Urban and Community forestry ecosystem, these young people plant and maintain over 300 trees every year.
